Shanghai Hong Qiao International School has been committed to
high-quality international education for more than 20 years since 1997We understand that in order to achieve success in life, students have to be comitted to learning. This begins with a highly engaging educational program that focuses on developing the academic, social, and emotional capabilities of each child. With an emphasis on inquiry teaching and learning, students at HQIS are immersed in an educational environment that cultivates critical thinking and problem solving. These are fundamental skills students need to thrive in a constantly changing world.

In this rapidly changing era, we want to give parents a deeper understanding of the latest educational ideas, curriculum structures, skills for the future and pathways on to university and beyond. Only when we are familiar with these key concepts, can we have a clear perspective on: "What Is the Best Education for my child?"

At this stage, and in response to parents’ feedback from the recent survey, the school will offer three consecutive online public lectures starting on March 28th. The lectures are open to all parents and friends of our school. We hope you will enjoy together this important deep-learning opportunity and find it useful.

English is the door to the world, opening up opportunities on a truly global scale. At HQIS, English as the first language of instruction can bring unique advantages to students. Our goal is not only to help students get access to the world through this gate but also to help our students excel in all they do.

As an international school with  English as  the main language of instruction, immersive teaching is an important part of the English curriculum. Under the influence and training of teachers from many famous universities such as Oxford and Columbia University, how can we encourage students to master more than two languages efficiently and in depth? How can we cultivate students' English thinking and speaking skills through an immersive English learning environment?
