HQIS Celebrates Earth Day 2024
- Apr 20-2024
Can you feel it in the air? It’s Halloween!
The HQIS Halloween Parades is an old-established tradition of our school.
This year, the tradition continues with spooky costumes, trick or treating, music, games, and most importantly a blast of fun and creativity! Our students are famous for their imagination and inventiveness: we had fairies and princesses, angels and devils, zombies and vampires, superheroes, monsters, and super cool custom-made costumes such as robots and even… Bubble tea bottles!
Besides the traditional parades, our Early Childhood kids gathered at the HQIS Rainbow Bridge Theater for the Student Assembly of the month. The HQIS owlets delighted us with impressive dances and choreographies. During the assembly, our little learners were also awarded IB-Learner Profile Certificates. Our Upper School students and teachers were dressed up as well, brightening the school with the Halloween vibe even during class. Each grade participated in the annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest, another well-established tradition of the HQIS Halloween. Students can customize their pumpkins by sculpting them, coloring them, or placing additional pieces made with the most diverse materials. The best pumpkins are awarded by a jury made up of all members of the school. Our students created pumpkins with different colors and shapes: cute pumpkins, scary pumpkins, pumpkins with limbs, and even eco-friendly pumpkins.
Here are the winners:
In the afternoon the fun continued with in-class activities and games. Thank you, dear students and teachers, for another marvelous Halloween together!
