School Blog
Our school blog is a great chance to see what's happening at HQIS in a regular basis. Here you can see daily life as it develops within our campus, browse pictures, and get to know us on a more personal basis.
HQIS provides our teachers with full support inside and outside their classrooms. This is why, every semester, our teachers take part in the HQIS PD Program. This semester, the PD Sessions took place on November 2nd and 3rd. The contents of the sessions were broad, ranging from teaching methodologies to managerial aspects.
The PD Program offered at HQIS is an intensive, coherent, content-focused, and specialized two days long training that enables our educators to develop the knowledge and skills they need to address students’ learning challenges throughout the Academic Year. Our teachers undertake a series of activities, including curriculum planning, study and research groups, analysis, workshops, and debates.
Teachers took part in discussion groups about our curriculum (including the HQIS Three Pillars), classroom management, system management (including ClassDojo and ManageBac), grading & assessment, and many other relevant topics related to the HQIS education system.
The PD program allows our teachers to enhance their performances as they learn more effective practices to apply to daily challenges. They engage themselves in an ongoing cycle of improvement where they are able to analyze what they are learning and their experiences in using what they learned.
HQIS offers world-class international education, and the Professional Development sessions play an essential role. They promote teachers’ teaching skills, master new knowledge, develop new proficiency, strengthen teamwork, and help improve students’ learning. This is the secret of our success: we assist our students during each phase of their growth and make them become lifelong learners who are caring and internationally-minded.
