HQIS Celebrates Earth Day 2024
- Apr 20-2024
The first day of school feels like yesterday,
but we are already at the end of November!
Every year, the last three weeks before the winter holidays are filled with lots of school events and activities, and we are ready to heat our campus up with a super-exciting 2020 Winter Carnival agenda!
Here are the events that will be held in the upcoming weeks:
01. Festival of The Arts (FOTA)
Nov. 25th
# FOTA
The HQIS Festival of The Arts features the best of our Art, Music, and STEAM programs; it is an authentic school art expo with the contribution of all our students, including Early Childhood, Primary School, and Upper School students. The festival will comprise an art contest and exhibition.
02. Thanksgiving Celebration
Nov. 26th
Thanksgiving Day is focused on spending time with loved ones and being thankful.
Our teachers and students will celebrate thankfulness, gratitude, and family with inter-grade initiatives and in-class activities. On the same day, our students will light up our school Christmas tree – the biggest the school has ever had! - to inaugurate the beginning of Christmas festivities.
03. World Scholar’s Cup (WSC)
Nov. 28th/29th
The World Scholar’s Cup is an international academic competition held for the first time in 2006 in nearly 30 cities on five continents around the world. The competition has received support from Yale University and it is has considered the "Academic Olympiads for Middle School Students".
This year, our school is honored to be an official host for the World Scholar’s Cup.
Students from various international schools will gather at the HQIS campus to take part in the competition. We wish every participant good luck!
04. Winter Performances
Dec. 9th/10th
HQIS Winter Performances are one of the most spectacular and thrilling events of our school. Every year, our students will amaze our Community with two-days-long sessions of music, choreographies, plays, and much more.
05. Christmas Market & Art Charity Auction
Dec. 9th/10th
Along with the Winter Performances, the school will hold an on-campus Christmas Market & Art Charity Auction. Both the events will be organized and supervised by the Parents of HQIxS (POH) association. During the auction, our students’ artwork will be sold, and the money collected during the event will be used for charitable contributions.
