2021 HQIS High School Graduation Ceremony
On Friday, June 18th, HQIS held a grand high school graduation ceremony at the Rainbow Bridge Theater. The Class of 2021 students have successfully completed their high school course of study. They are exemplary students with impeccable academic backgrounds. We felt so proud of them, seeing them on the stage, resplendent in their cap and gown.
Opening Address by Mr. Troy Hammond Upper School Associate Principal.
Dear students,
This graduation ceremony is a momentous occasion, as you prepare to continue your lifelong learning. We celebrate your achievement today, it is a day of celebration not only for you, but also for HQIS as an institution. Your time at HQIS has been marked by passion, perseverance and, above all, adaptability. We couldn’t be more proud of you as you reinforce our hard-won conviction that graduates of HQIS leave equipped to achieve their dreams anywhere in the world.
The excellence of the HQIS Upper School education is founded upon our three pillars: Academic Rigor, 21st Century Skills, and our Living Environment. These graduates, guided and nurtured by the love and support of their families as well as by the professionalism of the HQIS faculty, stand as a testament to these ideals.
May this day stand out in our memories as you go forth from this place to be guardians of the planet and ambassadors to every community you inhabit, to lead with your hearts, achieve with your minds and never stop growing in knowledge and skills.
Congratulations, dear students. We wish you good luck with your new beginning, your new life starts now. Four owls are ready to leave the nest and fly high. We know what memories fade, but they are never lost. We hope you will keep HQIS in your hearts forever as we will keep you in our memories. We could not be more proud of you, and now you are ready to go and take on the world!
We have a big amount of offers from prestigious universities this year. These offers include Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Sydney University (Top 40 Global); The Royal College of Music (Top 3 Music College in the world); New York University – Shanghai Campus, Penn State University, University of California Irvine, Northeastern University and many more. One of our students also received a scholarship offer from Oberlin College and Lafayette college, two of the best liberal arts colleges in the United States.
It’s the end of a beautiful chapter and the beginning of a new journey for our beloved students. Time and space may separate our graduates, but wherever their pathways lead them they'll always be the HQIS Class of 2021!
