The HQIS Winter Carnival at our school is a mesmerizing event that every year brings together students, parents and families. The event is a delightful fusion of entertainment, fun, joy, and community spirit that gives our families the chance to experience the enchantment of winter at our school.

Winter Performances

Our Winter Performances are the classic highlight of this kermesse. Every year, the stage of our theater gives our students the chance to showcase their incredible talent while our parents have the opportunity to witness and appreciate the growth of their children. This year, Early Childhood delighted us with lovely dances, songs, and a beautiful Christmas play. The Primary School students brought on stage a very colorful and unique series of performances, including orchestral and choir pieces. The final act of the Winter Carnival was the mesmerizing show organized by the Upper School students featuring live music, songs, dances, and more.

 

Winter Market

Winter Carnival would not be the same without our outstanding Winter Market, a hub of excitement and merriment. We turned our gym in a magical winter wonderland with Christmas trees, beautiful decorations, and last but not least delicious food and drinks for everyone!

As families entered, students and parents couldn’t help but drool after seeing the selection of delicious desserts offered by the Parents of HQIS - POH, with an irresistible aroma of coffee and hot chocolate in the air. Besides, our families prepared booths with beautiful decorations and gifts such as lanterns and moving music boxes, a truly magical experience for the visitors.

Our Upper School students joined the market with the G8 and Student Council booths. In particular, the booth organized by the Student Council was part of their PBL project, and it featured fun activities and games that raised funds for charity. Once again our parents had the chance to witness the maturity, independence, leadership, and organization skills of our students.

Last but not least, an honorable mention goes to the delicious food provided by the vendors. Gingerbread, cookies, pizza, sandwiches, crepes, and snacks, just to mention some: the aroma of these delicacies filled the air and the food delighted the taste of our hungry families!

Winter Carnival has been once again a celebration that truly embodied the spirit of the season, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended, and this is why we want to thank our teachers, students, parents, staff and volunteers who made this possible! We wish you a joyous holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones. Happy winter break!
